Wordpress design and Twitter theme for community news site

Details

Client: Steve Shaffer

Media: Web site/Twitter theme

Steve was starting a community-powered current affairs and culture website. The idea was to provide a place for an outspoken voice to balance and address the skewed stereotypes of the black male, and stand as a voice of reason among a generation of educated black men.

Since the site is news- and update-driven, I felt it should reflect this through the familiar use of narrow columns on the home page and elements such as typography and color that suggest thoughfulness.

Site: www.educatedblackman.com
Twitter: twitter.com/educatedbrotha
