Kim Stearns created the name and tagline for this soap and suggested a utilitarian, bare-bones approach for the look. I rarely design with yellow so I thought that would be fun to play with. And the yellow combined with the grey felt utilitarian and straight-forward. Since it’s called Bayson, I used a bay leaf for the scent.

I wanted the area with the name to be warm and cozy in contrast to the cold background.

Kim Stearns created the name and tagline for this wine and suggested we go for a spunky vibe. I don’t remember seeing a wine label sandblasted onto the bottle, so that’s the effect I was going for here. The bright orange label would be screenprinted on with opaque ink, and the inspiration was tattoos. The hanging label around the neck is like an accessory for the bottle and felt youthful to me.

Kim Stearns came up with the name and tagline for this nail color. The idea is that it uses fine bits of pigment extracted from roses, amaryllis, and lilacs to tint the color.

Mmmmm, chocolate. The goal for this wrapper, with name and copy by Kim Stearns, was to seem organic and natural. Like the chocolate is fresh and pure, not all processed.

This is another Kim Stearns naming and copy creation. The goal was slightly edgy, and Kim is a fan of damask patterns so it seemed fitting here.

I looked up the meaning of the name Lyla, which Kim Stearns named this fictional lip balm, and it means “island girl.” After a bit of research I found that plumeria grows in Hawaii. So that’s the flower I used for this design, and I chose colors and fonts that make it look like it would be from a high end cosmetics line. Kim also wrote the tagline on the cap.
